Here is why I think that Balto is the real hero, not Togo!!!
A child needs surgery but the parents don't have the money. So, the parents are going to raise money and the money will go to the child's surgery. They need exactly $5000. 20 people decide to contribute. 17 people give some money. Then, one person gives a lot of money that almost gets them there, but they still have some money to give. The 19th person gives some money. The 20th person contributed $53, what they needed to save the child!
The person who gave a lot of money represents Togo, and the 20th person represents Balto. I personally think that Balto is Nome's real hero, but what's your opinion? Vote in the poll.

Hmm... You haver a point, but they both deserved to get the SAME credit, because without Togo, There would be this big gap witch most dogs (including Balto) Would of failed to go through.

Erm, Togo did most of the work during the serum run. During the time of the serum run, Togo was already 12 years-old, which is old, especially for his bread. However, Balto, was only either 2 or 6 years of age, much younger than Togo. Not only that, but Togo travled much more than Balto. Balto only travled 53 miles, Togo travled over 190 miles. After the serum run, Togo was left lame, meaning he was no longer able to do the job he did best.

Just because Balto was the last dog (even though he wasn't supposed to be), doesn't mean anything.

Either way, ALL of the dogs and humans of the serum run are heroes. There is no "non-real" hero, they all did their part making sure the medicine got to Nome, and it did.
